#175035 - Scenix and Cypress Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Many years ago I was suckered into believing the Scenix SX range of processors was the next big thing. They ran an early PIC (shudder) instruction set, but ran it at 50MHz and then 100MHz. The theory was that at that speed any peripheral function could be generated it software. The processor only had I/O pins and an 8 bit timer.
At any rate they produced several pieces of literature that dealt with generating a Bell 202 modem. As I recall the principle was simple enough. I hope you find them useful. Scenix is now carried by Parallax. Look at http://techref.massmind.org/images/co...m_demo.PDF and these may also help http://archive.chipcenter.com/embapps/emba064.htm http://www.sxlist.com/images/sx...detect.pdf http://www.sxlist.com/images/sx...detect.pdf At the other end of the spectrum the PSoC 1 and 3 (8051 based) can be configured to use the internal op-amps to generate FSK signals with little external circuitry http://www.cypress.com/?docID=20346 http://www.cypress.com/?docID=21111 -Aubrey |
