#174813 - not 'graduating' but - not 'nonsense' but Responding to: ???'s previous message |
graduating to a real-time OS
not 'graduating' but adding another capability to be used when appropiate all this round-robin and interrupt driven nonsense not 'nonsense' but the right approach when appropiate that something is 'fancy' or 'popular' or 'modern' does not necessarily make it right. On the RTOS vs workloop question I know of two issues 1) only old farts know how to do workloop and soon that will be a 'speciality' 2) some managers can not visualize that many apps are better suited for the workloop approach and will thus insist on a RTOS even if it is the wrong approach.
