#174698 - AT89C51RD2 68PLCC upgrade? |
Hi,
I've been using a board with an Atmel AT89C51RD2, 68-pin PLCC (SOT188-2/-3?) controller that has a 64KB ISP flash and 2KB of XDATA. I'd like to continue using the same funky-little Ethernet enabled board, but I'm beginning to struggle with the limitations imposed by having just 2KB of XDATA RAM available. Honestly, I have searched the Web far and wide. I can't seem to locate a drop-in, pin-compatible upgrade for the AT89C51RD2 that might offer a larger XDATA space, whilst maintaining the highly desirable ISP functionality, however. Recognising the astonishing level of 8051 like device familiarity possessed by many of the 8052.com website's more experienced members, I thought that I might pose the quest here as a last resort, before unhappily conceding 'mission failure'. I would be very grateful for hearing from anyone who thinks they might posses any helpful suggestion. :-) Regards, Murray R. Van Luyn. |
