However, he tried to 1. use the 'C' chip's method to do that (assuming compatibility which is not there); 2. might try to use the FST register in 'V', containing an "EDC - enable double clock" bit to do that, not realising that it is a read-only bit (actually, the documentation does not say that - but I keep repeating that the P89V51RD2 documentation is just a crippled version of the original SST one, which is quite crappy too).
