#168468 - MOSFETs help to save supply current
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Asok,

Great that Kai is here.Kai,an off topic first;I am missing where you said modern competitive cheap microcontrollers often lack older protective features....or something of that nature.

I guess I said, that modern microcontrollers are more vulnerable to ESD because the progressing miniaturistaion of circuits on die results in smaller and smaller structures.

Why do you defeat the name of the thread "PNP switch"?

By the help of MOSFETs many mA of supply current can be saved. I thought that would be advantageous in your application.

Will you kindly provide me with a list (3/4 examples) of each six varieties of MOSFETs to enable me have a stock?

Depletion mode MOSFETs are rather seldom used. I very often use BF245, BS170 and BS250. Other FETs I use depend on application.
