My friend requires me to work on any of these MCUs because they are cheap Do be sure that your friend understands that, although the chips themselves may be "cheap", the cost of development may be disproportionately high due to the poor level of support. We have not asked him for the ISP code or firmware, and we are not planning to do so. Any particular reason why not? Again, it would really help if you explained why you are not doing this - as it really does seem like the obvious way to proceed! Have you tried asking him your questions about the ISP - having done it, he must surely know what is required, and should be able to advise what you need, what is suitable, etc... I don't know where to start with extrtacting the ISP firmware from an existing MCU Then why not just ask the original coder?! |
