Unless your LCD has a fast interface, it might be worth considering first whether a low-cost (PC-based?) logic analyser (LA) would be sufficient to "spy" on the initialisation sequence?
Even if it's beyond a cheap LA, I would have thought that hiring a decent LA would be cheaper than buying an ICE - and probably more useful? |
