#167261 - Can't find LCD datasheet for initialisation |
Hi all,
I would be very grateful if you can help me track down a datahseet for an LCD that is connected to an 8052 in a circuit I am working on. I have tried the 8052 LCD tutorial code to get something to show on the display without success (setting DATA port to P0). I know the display works and is wired correctly as the original code in the 8052 worked fine with it. The LCD has nothing written on it at all, which doesn't help. Details I have for LCD: 128 x 64 pixel (monochrome) 36-pin ribbon cable connector to 8052 board Pins 8 through 15 are connected to P0 on 8052 (8=P0.0...15=P0.7) Pins 5 is connected to P3.5 on 8052 Pins 6 is connected to P3.6 on 8052 Pins 7 is connected to P3.7 on 8052 Pins 17 and 32 look to be GND I can't find any datasheets for LCDs mentioning 36-pin connectors. I think I am missing something on the initialisation or maybe I need to send a special command to switch-on the display. Many thanks. |
