A long time ago, before e-mail, when Arghmel came out with the first flash based '51s they were quite expensive for a small company and the one I worked for bought 100. The chips were revision somewhere around 'g' and I found an error in the chip that I could not work around and informed management, which then wrote a letter to Arghmel requesting return of the chips for a refund. A letter came back "we can not accept returns based on statements from incompetent persons. Well, when I said "new chips (Intel) or no product". Management took Arghmels worh and fired me for incompetence. Lo and behold, in the errata for a later version I found the very error I had reported. i wonder how many 'incompetent' persons went through the same.
