While Corporate America has been proven, again and again, to be capable of making batshit stupid decisions, I think it doesn't make much sense for Hi-Tech to bin the "SiLabs compiler." PIC users aren't switching to 8051, and us 8051 folk would rather eat rusty nails than use those glorified micro-coded state machines.
I recall a lot of whinging when ARM bought Keil, and I see no signs of the Keil C51 tools going away. -a |
