#163066 - Read the P89v51 data sheet Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Most Silicon manufacturers have disclaimers in the legal section of the data sheet. The P89v51 is no exception. Read the data sheet.
Hence in lieu of any claims in the app note for version7 software the P89v51 data sheet applies. You can write you own bootloader if you think version7 is not robust enough. Regardless what the data sheet says, your best best is to ; a) Thoroughly test the bootloader and your design to your own satisfaction b) Purchase P89V51's from a traceable / reputable source, who may also be able to provide technical support or call on NXP support. c) Monitor the NXP web site regularly for any errata on the P89v51 (or have the web site post you news on the P89v51 automatically). BTW - You probably can get some support if you have a real technical issue.... it just means it will be difficult to sue, due to the disclaimers in the data sheet. The same goes for any other silicon manufacturer.. most have disclaimers in there data sheets. Joe |
