I would not use the darlington configuration, as the Total Vce saturation voltage is Vbe of first (high current) transistor plus Vce of second. It can be more than 1V, and with Ic=6A gives more than 6W of power loss/disipation. Also, the relay will receive only 11V aprox. I would connect collector of second transistor to 12V, throu some current limiting resistor. It is only a suggestion.
