Yes, but the "may" was because a darlington transistor is a transistor :)
And if he scans solutions using other processors, he may see constructs where the used microcontroller has way more powerful output drivers and that can drive the pin in both directions. The important thing is to get enough knowledge to understand what you are doing. And that includes taking a closer look at how a transistor works, and what Hfe means etc. A "may need to" is an open issue the requester needs to spend a bit of time with. |
