I read a FAQ that described the situation pretty well as to how those registers worked ... trying to achieve .05 seconds so that it would be a manageable time unit, but 0x6700 = 26,368, subtract from the max integer for a 16 bit register 65535-26368=39167 which is a bit non-sensical to may way of thinking. In the FAQ, they did 65535-15535=50000 which is what I would expect if I were trying to achieve .05 seconds
