... I've seen things copied in both eastern and western Europe, and also in the USA.
This is simple the math, Richard. It's often cheaper to copy than to make it from scratch. If the cost of a lawsuit times probability one get sued times probability one loses the case is less than the profit, then one goes for it, independent of nationality. It's just that on the west the probabilities are closer to 1 than to 0. As I say, simple maths. Prudence and ethics are just cover words, to make things nicer. Harsh, but true. JW |
