#160917 - It's interesting noting where these queries originate Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Why are there so many queries regarding "decompilers" and disassemblers from China, India, and the Middle East?
In Japan, Taiwan, and Korea, people have thoroughly outgrown the need to copy someone else's work rather than figuring out how to do their own. What "copiers" need to learn is that, while they're copying someone else's work, the originator of that work is already deeply involved in his "next-generation" work, meaning that by the time the "copyist" finally figures out how to make a copy, the original designer has already made the copy obsolete. Wouldn't it be smarter to figure out how a given product works and then try to apply one's own knowledge to solving the same problem, most likely better? Copying suggests that the "copyist" simply isn't clever enough to do the job. The fact that the query by Naik Umesh Vasudeo was not preceded by a simple search, taking 10 seconds or so, suggests that he's one who's not willing to do even 5% of the necessary work to accomplish his goal. I'd say it's appropriate to let him struggle on his own. Eventually, the people intelligent enough to design a product and to implement that design will percolate to the surface and will own that industry, just as they've done in Japan and Korea. People in that part of the world will beg, borrow, or steal whatever they think will benefit them. Only after decades of "doing it wrong" will they figure out the correct path is the only path to success. RE |
