But, all too often, developer "creativity" is something that needs to be restricted - just look at how much dangerous rubbish is written in 'C' !!

The trouble is, the most powerful features tend to be the most dangerous when abused and misused - pointers are probably the prime example in 'C'.

Just like guns & sharp knives, some restrictions are necessary (or, at least, useful) to keep people safe!
