#188239 - The problem isn't with the "old gear" ...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
It's with the old electrolytic cap's that the problem begins and ends. I've had lots of issues with them over the years, and, more often than not, it's a simple fix simply to replace the electrolytics ... all of them... especially the small, high-voltage ones ... when a piece of aging equipment starts to break down. Sadly, when they "go," they often take a few actives with them.

Unfortunately, getting physically compatible electrolytics can become a problem.
