...all metallic bodies must be connected to another and must be earthed to provide potential equalisation. Only by this the develop of ESD and sparks can be prevented.
Also, the electronics inside of sensor must not be able to start a fire either. So, only an ex-certified sensor is allowed to be used in an ex environment. If you violate the standards you can be sent into prison if something goes wrong... Kai Klaas |
