#184880 - Got it Responding to: ???'s previous message |
After having searched a bit more, I found that Lattice still have tools for the old 16V8 chips, which was what I wanted.
I did look on Xilinx, but the tools took me several hours to download and very long time to install - even on a PC with a i7 processor. And since the use of a GAL or similar is nice, I could use a couple of 74HC4051 and a bit of glue, so I don't want to invest to much time on a tool set I probably only will use this one time. The Lattice tool set accepts input in Verilog or Abel, and a 74HC4051 can quickly be made by editing one of the suplied examples. Richard: I think that Atmel still makes 16V8 or something similar; where I work, we had bought new Lattice GAL 16V8 in 2011 from Arrow. Lattice mark all their SPLD's as "mature", but the are somehow still available. Thanks for inputs! Per |
