I find it interesting that, to the man, those who have commented on this thread interpreted Erik's metaphor as being sexual. I've always understood the "in bed with" metaphor in the asexual (or platonic) sense of people keeping warm, like "three-dog night." Thus, in my mind at least, the metaphor describes, not someone being immoral or unfaithful, but two people or groups working together synergistically for their common good.
