#183987 - Infinity is not a number Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Jeff Post said:
Infinity is not a number and if you treat it as a number, it results in nonsense. Infinity isn't even a mathematical object and therefore it doesn't make sense to perform mathematical operations (addition, multiplication, etc) on it.
Maybe it is time to reconsider if Zero (0) is a number too. Zero number means nothing so, does it exist the nothing ? Is the absense of something the existense of nothing ? Maybe it is time to reconsider if electrons that we assume for real particles indeed do are negative quantums but the holes that are absence of electrons assumed to be positive. The nature is the kingdom of assymetry. Mirrors exist in our minds and to our short-visioned eyes. Sub-atomic particles delcares that there is no symmetry in nature. Two centuries ago mathematicians and phycisists had very different approach to the nature that is around us. Thiought of as a static machine with predictable results to every action. Modern Physics, Relativity, Quantum Theory, String Theory and sub-atomic particles talk to us saying that everything is very different from our vision and reach. Just thoughts of the moment.
