#183970 - Which do you prefer Engineer or geek? |
The one uses his professional skills to produce products that people use, the other is a socially inadequate nerd obsessed with all things computer because it saves having to talk to real people, probably autistic.
I only ask because I have accepted an employment offer today from an electronics design consultancy which has a policy of not employing geeks, I happen to think its rather cool. It may be the way to claim engineering back from people with sociopathic personality disorders and we have all met them in our careers. |
