#183301 - JTAG debug adapter [ed] Responding to: ???'s previous message |

What JTAG debug adapter are you using for ARM Coretx M3 development? I have a couple of Keil uLinks (I think one's actually a uLink, and the other is uLink-2), and an IAR J-Link (although I haven't used that one yet). I have also used a Keil uLink-ME http://www.keil.com/ulink/ Does it have the "standard" 2x10 header on 0.1" pin centers? Yes - all of the above do. The uLink also comes with some other options... Note that, nowadays, the trend is for manufacturers to include the debug adaptor on their DevKit boards - so you don't have to have (or get) a separate one. Luminary Micro (now TI) started this - now everyone is following. In most cases, these can also be used as debug adaptors for your own boards. Edit: Just remembered - I've also used a Raisonance R-Link (probably still got it somewhere). They had a little adaptor board for the "standard" ARM header. The R-Link itself was code-size limited, and ISTR some bug with this: I think it was supposed to be limited for debug only, and unlimited for downloading - but that didn't work properly. In fact, several bits of the Raisonance didn't quite work properly. This was 2-3 years ago - hopefully it's improved now... |
