#182573 - Linearizing a log potmeter |
Hello,
Guitar expression pedals (footpedal with potmeter) come in to forms : lin and log The potmeter is powered by +5V so the I'm getting 0-5V. I read this value with an ADC, process a little and send it int he form of a midi message. The above is no problem with linear potmeters. But is it possible to use a logaritmic potmeter and 'linearize' it by software and get the same output for every angle compared to the linear potmeter. Peter |
