These days, supporting various flavours of Linux appears to be a must for most of the software products, including development tools for microcontrollers.
If, hypothetically, you'd decide on developing a new such tool, would you mandate Linux support? No, the market is too small to justify the cost of double developemnt/maintenance. However I might support that it would run under whine Erik |
