#181839 - Web server dongle Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I don't think it's too difficult to write iPhone apps in the same way that it's not too difficult to write a Windows app in VB. The problem comes when you want to get down and dirty, like talking to some non-Apple hardware.
If you stick with HTTP-HTML for the iPhone than you need a dongle with an embedded web server. The configuration dongle can then serve up web pages and actions can be initiated through CGI. For universality, the dongle could pull the page from the device. I guess the alternative would be a web page for each device, served up as appropriate by identifying the device. |
