#181551 - GPS wifi interference problems |
I designed a board with sensitive GPS receiver SKM53 and RN-131g Wifly module with good solid ground planes on both sides of PCB. The GPS receiver doesn't work when the wifly is on. They both have built in antennae and 1 inch apart. The Wifly works on 2.4 GHz and the GPS works on 1.572 GHz.
Both modules have Faraday cages and look good quality. I separated the ground planes and made them meet at one point, added lots of decoupling capacitors 1nf and 100nF with no luck. I lifted the gps about 1cm over the board and it did work!!!! Looks like the ground plane works as antenna to the wifly. Any other idea how to solve this problem? Thanks Mahmood |
