#180425 - Hobbies Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Steve,
Both the electronics and leather divisions (the leather came first by the way) were catering to the hobbiest market. And yes, the leathercraft stores are still in business here. In fact, I have a half-hide of their leather in my library right now, for a Bible I am about to bind. But it was your earlier post in this thread that really caught my attention. The very first computer program I ever wrote was on a TRS 80, hooked up to a portable television for a monitor and holding a whopping 8- kilobytes of ram. Of course, that was far more than enough, since I didn't have the special cable that let me save my program to an old cassette recorder. Once I turned it off, everything I did was lost. Memories. Happy New Year! Joe EDIT: Maybe I spoke too soon when I said "memories." Now that I think about it, I think that computer was a TI99, not a TRS80. |
