Some of these cards are evilishly hard to make use of. They may initially start as a memory device containing an auto-starting installation program for the drivers. The drivers will then send some undocumented command to the device to switch from memory device to a modem.
You really should make sure that you - at least - have access to the source code for a Linux driver for the card. Preferably, you should find a card where the manufacturer have published all relevant information. |
