#177251 - ChaN FatFs for 8051? |
Hi,
Anyone ever come across a port of ChaN's FatFs for an 8051? http://elm-chan.org/fsw/ff/00index_e.html Is that a sensible thing to want? I mean, it looks like a really handy bit of code, and I'm sure it will squeeze into my RD2. I don't mean that to sound too much like a 'gimme code'. I just don't want to re-invent the wheel. ...and specifically for the ever-helpful Andy Neil: Andy, I've read a message at 8052.com that said something about your having used ChaN's FatFs with "nearly no effort at all". Do you mind me please asking you whether that was on an 8051? If so, how would you rate the difficulty of porting this valuable code package to such a controller? ChaN has made some significant improvements to the code recently, and I thought that making the code more accessible to 8051 users might be a worthwhile endeavour. There are plenty of references to its suitability for running on an 8051, yet such an existing port has so far eluded me. Regards, Murray R. Van Luyn. |
