#176016 - The jargon jungle... PDO, SDO, DCF... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Thanks Andrew.
>> However I don't think you will find what you are looking for. I am starting to believe that ! I do understand your question : What do you want to do with CANopen ?! In simple words this : A) Send commands and read spool position information of the proportional valve.( only when command changes) B) Read position and velocity of cylinder rod ( once every 10ms ) When the client said that the PC must handle the CANopen comm, I simply thought it must be another one like a Modbus RTU stuff. But I think I am mistaken. This CAN stuff seems a tad bit complex than that. So what did I do ? Write to the CiA guys asking for the DS408 document thinking it will help me understand more. Alas when it landed, I found it was a 396 page (!!) document and I almost fell off my chair. In a nut shell my problem is this : With BOSCH proportional valve I can use thier software which has a user interface for command values and display of spool position feedback values. Rest of the things like nodeID, SDO PDO EDS ABCD etc are unknown to the user. I now have to create a similiar interface in LabVIEW. Simple is it not ? Trying. Raghu |
