Unless you are talking of having soldered the diode out of the module and intend to use the diode ONLY the answer is: ABSOLUTELY NOT

If you are using JUST the diode (removed from the module) the answer is: not recommended.

Your postings about using a 7905 show that you NEED to read up on laser (and LED and other) diodes before even considering powering up the soldering iron.

Your 'experimenting' without even having read up on the basics of what you are working with will lead to disaster.

To drive a laser didode efficiently you need a constant current source. DO NOT apply a constant current source before your reading has made you understand why.
