#174338 - Ferrite beads |
We are using ferrite beads for magjack connections. The beads are 12 x 4 cylindrical core single wire pass through (hole dia=1.2mm) type.
1. How critical is the gap between the conductor and the ferrite bead? If the hole diameter is 1.2mm and the conductor is 0.6mm or 0.8 mmm or 1 mm, to what extend will the air gap affect the performance? 2. Is it recommended to take the conductor through the bead from the bottom, and at the top end, wind it around the bead back to the bottom for vertical mounting? |
