#174187 - Long story...

Do share the retail value of the sample parts involved and how much the tax was.

The tax (including the carriers fees) was £25.

The carriers included some copies of original shipping documents from NXP, which described the goods as "sample transistor"

Now, I had received some sample FETs from NXP - so naturally assumed that this was the shipment to which the bill related.
£25 for a few FETs would be very expensive indeed - I could have got them on special delivery from Farnell or RS for that price!

However, It eventually transpired that the NXP docs were wrong: they weren't for a "sample transistor" at all - they were for a DevKit!

If I had known at the outset that this was for a DevKit (not just a few FETs), I would still have been a little miffed to be charged anything for something that was supposed to be "free" - but would have been glad to get a rather nice DevKit (including a J-Link) for only £25!

Well, you did ask!
