For UK readers only:

Beware of ordering anything "free" direct from the NXP website, or any NXP direct mail (post or email).

I have just been stung for VAT etc on what was supposed to be a "free" sample from NXP.

The trouble is, NXP have no offices in the UK, so this stuff gets shipped direct to you from Hong Kong. Even though NXP are giving it to you free, they have to declare its real price to the Tax Man, and Hector will sting you for the VAT on that price!

The VAT will be collected by the carrier - and they usually add an "admin" fee on top.

The safest way is to always go through a local Distributor.
