#174010 - Try National Semiconductor
Responding to: ???'s previous message
http://www.national.com/analog/simple_switcher

Their SimpleSwitcher® line has several devices that meet your requirements more than adequately.

My experience, over numerous designs, is that they are indeed very simple to design with. Design
is made even simpler by the WEBENCH® design tool, where you can simple 'plug in' your requirements
and get a list of possible devices back. Select one of these and the design is made for you. You can
then do all sorts of neat things with that design, like electrical and thermal simulation.
Be prepared to spend a few hours ;-)
