#173674 - the concept of object oriented programming

It was there where I got the concept of object oriented programming. A couple of weeks after that I was coding in C sharp.

Agreed - I found that going from "procedural" to "object-oriented" was the big step - not the switch from 'C' to C# syntax.

To get started with C#, I would recommend that you get the free Visual C# Express Edition from Microsoft - it comes complete with a huge set of manuals, tutorials, examples, etc:

http://www.microsoft.com/express/Windows/

If you're more comfortable with an embedded environment, I can recommend the GHI stuff:

http://www.ghielectronics.com/

(it uses exactly the same Visual C# Express Edition for writing, building, and debugging the code - but it runs on an embedded target, and is more focussed on embedded applications)
