#171289 - No, a tiny Pizza oven... Responding to: ???'s previous message |

Is that you encountered uneven thermal profiles in Chinese make ? I only experimented with an oven for household applications (Pizza, Hawai-Toast,...) and found, that the four heating elements (two at the top and two at the bottom) produced a highly uneven temperature profil. I tested it, by putting some blobs of solder paste at different locations on a PCB. A proper temperature sensor mounted at the center of PCB showed me that heating time and end temperature wasn't the problem. But the blobs weren't reflowing at the same time! Some of them showed a reflow delay of more than 1 min! That was the moment, when I realized, that reflow soldering by the help of a such an oven might not be that simple... Kai Klaas |
