#171063 - A couple of thoughts Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Fotios,
I haven't read the whole thing carefully, but after a cursory scan Kai's link seems like a valuable resource, not just for you but for anyone forced back into this subject after too many years to recall much. And in my case it has been far too many years since I've fooled with any of this. That said, I would offer the following because I don't believe you're going to find it in any of the standard texts on the subject. To fully understand antennae, and at the risk of sounding "zinnish," you need to realize that it is not a load. It is an impedance matching device between your circuit and free-space. That said, I would also suggest that you study how to use a smith chart, specifically for the purpose of calculating the length and position of stubs. Welcome to 8052.com. Good luck, Joe |
