#167935 - Extending range of WiFi |
I have an ADSL router ( Huwei - Taiwan make ) for my broadband Internet in my ground floor and it has a WLAN provision. And it has a on board chip antenna so I cannot use a high gain antenna to boost the range.
If I want to access WLAN in my first floor, there is lots of attenuation due to the ceiling, wall etc. I have a spare D-Link AP2100 access point and it also has a provision to configure as a Repeater. Somehow I am unable to do it. It accepts the root MAC id of the ADSL router but does not work as expected. Any ideas how to boost the range of the WLAN in my ADSL router ? Thanks Raghu |
