#167431 - Own work is the only way forward. A forum can only help.

No hatred involved. I don't have time to hate people. And I haven't lost any job because of outsourcing either.

I have already in several threads discussed the problem with growing countries and the quality of the school staff. I have several times seen comments about: "but they have a professor" and noted that it isn't that simple. Not all schools have enough competent staff, which means that members on web forums will have to chip in. But chip in with the help learning, not chip in with ready-to-run code.

What I was commenting about here, is that the OP is a junior-level employee, but still thinks that the forums are there to supply ready-to-run code, instead of being a forum for discussion. For sharing knowledge. Ready-to-run code isn't part of sharing knowledge. It is just part of outsourcing ones own job to someone else, but without being willing to pay for it.

In the end, you will not learn new things without training. But to train, you need to debate. And you need to write code. And you need to debug code. And you need to rewrite code. And you need to read datasheets. And you need to read source code. But getting ready-to-run code will not help with any of these things. It either works, in case it will be used without understanding why it works. Or it doesn't work, in which case it will be considered broken, and another forum somewhere will get a request for code.

Better companies should normally make sure that junior-level developers have mentors to help them get going. The important thing here is that acompany does not work like the school. There are no teacher there waiting to compare the produced solution with a predefined "correct" solution. It is more like research. Every day the junior-level developer has to spend time improving and aquiring new skills. And it will not end the days the "junior" part is removed, or a "senior" is added to the job title.
