#166488 - this may be one issue Responding to: ???'s previous message |
About 3 years back I had developed the software for one of my clients on MCS51. Now he wants to develop the same product (with added features) using ARM Processor.
The problem is: He asked for some documents related to software, that I have never heard of.. some, in a case like the above, expect that a product developed for processor a is documented in such a way that someone developing for processor b with no knowledge whatsoever of processor a can grasp it. That is, of course possible, but, in my opinion, an unresonable request. HOWEVER; a properly commented code is ALWAYS a requirement. The "external documents" 'describing' code have no standards besides the 'shop standard' which vary greatly. My guess is that the other developer expected everyone to have the same shop standars.
