Your choices depends a bit on the output resistance of the sensor, i.e. how much the sensor voltage will vary with load - your voltage divider will have to draw a lot more current than the input current of the ADC.
If the sensor can't handle the load, you may have to buffer the signal with an OP-Amp. Thanks for the reply. So, without wishing to sound too dumb (I'm not much of an analogue buff), how would I determine the output resistance of the sensor - the datasheet doesn't mention it as such. |
