Yeah, you're probably right. Zero work searching for answers and redundant questions can get old. When I first signed up on this forum, I was pretty flippant as well. Lesson learned. I find now that sarcasm doesn't seem to help anyone, though.
I've also discovered that a lot of non-native English speakers are actually unaware of how to look for information. Simply pointing out places to start searching sometimes can be very helpful. Comments like RTFM, or "do the work yourself" may seem to work for some people, but I feel it doesn't for most. Some seriously interested people may choose to look elsewhere for help just because of the tough crowd here... My guess is pointing out Andy is rude probably won't change his methods, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway... -db |
