#159972 - Worst case data valid for all ferrites
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Don't forget that a 6-hole ferrite choke usulally withstands much higher currents than a tiny SMD ferrite bead offering similar HF-impedance. 5...6A is standard.

A good ferrite choke does not saturate relevantly even at the rated maximum current. Especially the ones which do not show a distinct impedance maximum anyway. But the cheaper ones from unkown manufacturers can drastically suffer at higher currents. If an impedance curve is published at all, than you can rely on this data up to a current of at least 20% of rated maximum current.

The performance of todays ferrite beads is fantastic! When the SMD technology started, about in the '80, the manufacturing of such brillant ferrite beads was considered entirely improbable.
