#159459 - The learning process.. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Never ends when it comes to software or so I believe.
You are very right in saying there are good free version control software out there. But then I need to start with the manual, understand a bit; then invoke the software and try out and then read the manual ..... I love to learn new things and manuals are no exception !! But then back there in college days one had plenty of time to pursue such learning. Now once into buisness the priorities change and customer needs come in first leaving little time to learn new things. And in these days of "crashing stock exchanges" staying afloat is priority no. 1 ;-) In fact I opened this thread with a question that was very much similiar to that of Jan Waclawek in the referred thread a few posts earlier - would it be worthwhile to invest the time resources in a SVC package given the low headcount ( 2) involved in code developing ? Going by the postings I do believe that SVC has its solid advantages even if it be a single guy coding. Now it all boils to inventing the time to do that. Raghu |
