#158335 - Doubled lasers Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The problem with doubled lasers is not the pump laser or the doubling crystal, but the control loop. The doubling crystal works by being non-linear, which means that it generates large amounts of second harmonic light. There is usually a control loop to stabilise the overall output, which is carefully adjusted to cope with the tricky loop characteristics. |
