I think you need both the SPI CAN chip and the transceiver. But maybe that is built in to some of them.
CAN is nor RS-232 you will need to read the Data sheet and find the App Note. And if you need one of the protocols that run on CAN (CANOpen, J1939, ect..) you will need more information on that. |
