#154455 - Incorrect deduction Responding to: ???'s previous message |

My PC shutdowns after random time. Reason is increased speed of CPU fan. As Christoph said, it is highly unlikely that it's actually the fan speed that causes the shutdown! The fan speed increases because the processor is getting too hot; if the increased fan speed still can't sufficiently cool the processor, then the PC will shut down. So your root problem is that the processor is overheating. Does your processor fan just recirculate the air within the PC case? If it does, then maybe you could add some (more) fans to draw fresh air into the case, and/or exhaust the hot air from inside the case to the external atmosphere? |
